I found this recipe in a Canadian Living cookbook, and they're just fabulous. They're very simple to make, and the dough tastes amazing too!
Ingredients:
1 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar (packed)
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 3/4 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
5 ounces semisweet chocolate
5 ounces white chocolate (i use bakers brand)
Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
2. Coarsely chop the chocolate and set aside.
3. Cream the butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar.
4. Add in the eggs and vanilla.
5. In a separate bowl, sift the flour, baking soda and salt.
6. Slowly beat the dry ingredients into the butter and sugar mixture, being sure not to overbeat the dough.
7. Stir in the chocolate.
8. Bake on greased cookies trays for 8-10 minutes.
