A nice cold weather soup. This is great for low carb diets. Ingredients:
4 tablespoons butter |
1 onion, diced |
1/2 cup celery, sliced |
4 tablespoons flour |
3 cups milk |
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese |
1 cup gouda cheese, shredded |
salt, pepper |
5 drops hot sauce |
chives (to garnish) |
Directions:
1. Melt butter in saucepan. 2. Add onion and celery, stir to soften. 3. Add flour, to thicken. 4. Slowly whisk in milk until smooth. 5. Bring to a simmer. 6. Add cheeses stirring until blended. 7. Add salt& pepper to taste and garnish with chives. |
