Dorito & Cheese Casserole -- |

My personal version of Dorito casserole is different. You can use ground beef, chicken, or even turkey. If you choose to omit meat, substitute 2 cans rinsed and drained black beans. Ingredients:
2 (10 3/4 ounce) cans nacho cheese soup |
1 1/2 cups water |
1 (10 ounce) can tomatoes and green chilies, undrained |
13 ounces doritos, lightly crushed |
1 onion, chopped |
1 lb ground beef or 1 lb ground chicken |
1 1/2 cups monterey jack cheese, shredded |
3 -4 green onion tops, chopped |
Directions:
1. Combine and heat the soup, water and tomatoes, set aside. 2. Cook the onion and ground beef, or chicken, until browned, drain. 3. Place 1/2 of the Doritos in a sprayed 9x13x2 casserole. 4. Cover with the browned beef. 5. Spread the soup mixture over the meat layer. 6. Add the remaining crushed Doritos. 7. Top with the cheese. 8. Bake 350 degrees, 25-30 minutes, or until bubbling hot and slightly browned. 9. Garnish with chopped green onion tops. |
