Paula Deen has gone too far with this one. She is not only making bread pudding with donuts but suggests Krispy Kremes. Seriously, what?!!! I don't like to share the donuts!!! Ingredients:
1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk |
2 (4 1/2-ounce) cans fruit cocktail, with their juice |
2 eggs, beaten |
1 (9-ounce) box raisins |
pinch salt |
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon |
24 donuts, cut into cubes (recommended: krispy kreme) |
butter rum sauce, recipe follows |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. 2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together all ingredients except for the donut cubes and Butter Rum Sauce. 3. Add the donut cubes and toss until they have absorbed as much of the liquid as possible. 4. Pour the mixture into a casserole dish and bake for 1 hour. 5. Serve with Butter Rum Sauce. 6. Butter Rum Sauce: 7. 1 stick butter 8. 1 (1-pound) box confectioners' sugar 9. Dark rum 10. In a saucepan, melt the butter and gradually stir in the confectioners' sugar. Add rum and heat until bubbly. 11. Pour over each serving of Donut Bread Pudding. |
