When I lived in Chicago one of my friends treated us to these every time there was an Ohio State game. Ingredients:
1 1/2 c creamy peanut butter |
1/2 c butter - room temperature |
1 tsp vanilla |
16 oz confectioners sugar |
12 oz bag of semi sweet chocolate chips |
3 tbls crisco |
Directions:
1. Day 1 - Mix peanut butter, butter, vanilla and sugar with electric mixer till smooth. Roll tbls size amounts into balls, place on a cookie sheet lined with wax paper - refrigerate overnight. 2. Day 2 - Melt chocolate chips and Crisco together and mix till smooth. Stick a toothpick in each peanut butter ball and dip in the chocolate, leaving a semi circle of peanut butter showing at the top. Replace on wax paper and refrigerate for several hours until chocolate firms up a bit. |
