From someone who works in my building - she's always having the offices try her new recipes (lucky us!). No idea why it's called Dog Dip, but it's sure tasty despite the name. Try it on hot dogs, too. It makes a great topping, kind of like a 'gourmet' chili-cheese dog. Ingredients:
1 lb. ground beef |
1 can chili with or without beans (i usually use with beans) |
1 - 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese |
1 - 4 oz. can diced green chiles |
1 - 4 oz. can sliced black olives, drained |
3 - 4 sliced scallions (green onions) |
1 small jar salsa, whatever heat level you prefer (i use medium, and it's best with salsas that are not sweet) |
Directions:
1. Brown ground beef in saucepan; drain. 2. Mix in remaining ingredients and heat through in saucepan or transfer to crockpot and keep warm on low setting. 3. Serve with tortilla chips, or pour over hot dogs in buns. |
