A very savory version of the cereal and pretzel combo. Packed with flavor, this recipe has evolved from what was a tame version. Anything goes, use whatever cereals, crackers, nuts and spices you like. This recipe is very forgiving. A nice addition is thinly sliced toasted bagel rounds-drizzled with olive oil and garlic and toasted in the oven. Ingredients:
10 cups crispix cereal |
6 cups cheerios toasted oat cereal |
4 cups pretzels (whatever kind you like) |
2 cups nuts (mixed, or whatever kind you like) |
4 cups cheese crackers (like goldfish) |
1 cup olive oil |
1 -2 teaspoon garlic powder, onion powder, celery seed |
2 teaspoons worcestershire sauce |
1 teaspoon season salt (or plain salt) |
splash hot sauce |
Directions:
1. Pre heat oven to 200°F. 2. Mix first 5 ingredients in a large roasting pan. 3. Combine the rest of ingredients and mix well. 4. Pour over dry ingredients and mix well. 5. Bake for 1 hour. 6. Stir every 15 minute. 7. Cool and store in an air tight container. |
