Super quick to throw together, quick to cook and dinner's done! Almost as good as slow cooked pintos, this recipe is great when you're out of time. We like this served with Sue Lau's Jalapeno Cheddar Cornbread (Jalapeno and Cheddar Cornbread) Ingredients:
1 lb chorizo sausage, casings removed |
1 (53 ounce) can bush's pinto beans (undrained) |
1 medium onion, chopped |
1 teaspoon ground cumin |
1 teaspoon chili powder |
4 garlic cloves, minced |
3 teaspoons frank's red hot sauce |
Directions:
1. Brown chorizo and onion in deep skillet, breaking up sausage. 2. When browned add remaining ingredients. (You could transfer to crock pot at this point and heat on high for a couple of hours or simmer all day on low.). 3. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer 20-30 minutes to blend flavors. |
