This is a traditional Dixie salad that makes Thanksgiving dinner and Christmas dinner great. Kids love this stuff! Ingredients:
2 cups pomegranate seeds |
1 (15 ounce) can pineapple tidbits, drained |
4 bananas, peeled and sliced |
3 cups peeled, cored, and chopped tart apple |
1/2 cup chopped pecans |
3 tablespoons mayonnaise |
2 tablespoons creamy salad dressing, e.g. miracle whip |
Directions:
1. In a large bowl, combine the pomegranate seeds, pineapple, bananas, apples and pecans. Stir in the mayonnaise and salad dressing until evenly coated. Cover and refrigerate overnight before serving. |
