My in laws ask me to make this all the time. I guess it's pretty good, so I thought I would share it with you Ingredients:
1 (3 lb) broiler-fryer chickens, cut up |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/8 teaspoon pepper |
2 cups all-purpose flour |
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes |
1 egg, slightly beaten |
1/2 cup milk |
vegetable oil |
Directions:
1. Season chicken with salt and pepper. Combine four and red pepper; set aside. Combine egg and milk; dip chicken in egg mixture; and dredge in the flour mixture, covering well. 2. Heat 1 inch of vegetable oil in a skillet ( 350F) place chicken in skillet, ( not too many at once, or it will take a long time to cook). Cover and cook chicken over medium heat 20-25 minutes or until golden brown, turn occasionally. Drain on paper towels. |
