These amazing hot wings aren't too spicy, and have a zesty ranch kick. i made these trying to please a wide arrange of party guests, and 3 batches were gone almost instantly! Ingredients:
4 lbs cut chicken wings or drumettes (i use drumettes) |
1/4 cup hot pepper sauce (tabasco or texas pete) |
1/2 cup wing sauce (frank's or texas pete wing sauce works great) |
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter, melted |
3 t cider vinegar (can use white or rice vinegar) |
2 envelopes ranch dressing mix, divided |
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper |
1/2 tsp paprika |
2 t salt, to taste |
2 tsp coarse black pepper, to taste, divided |
Directions:
1. In small mixing bowl, whisk together hot sauce, wing sauce, melted butter, vinegar, 1 tsp black pepper, and 1 envelope ranch dressing mix; set aside. 2. Place wings or drumettes into large bowl; sprinkle cayenne pepper, paprika, salt, and remaining 1 tsp black pepper over chicken; massage seasonings evenly onto chicken. 3. Place wings into gallon sized resealable plastic bag. 4. Add sauce mixture into bag with chicken and coat well; reseal bag and refrigerate 4-8 hours. 5. Place wings/drumettes on greased baking pan(s) (you could use broiler pans also) and sprinkle with remaining ranch dressing packet. 6. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 40-50 minutes. (You could also do these in a slow cooker on a high setting for about 4 hours) 7. Prepare yourself for these and make enough for everyone!-Sooo good! |
