Healthier version of dirt cake. May not be quite as excellent as the original but I've slowly made the transition to this recipe over the last couple months and my husband can't tell - he still thinks its as unhealthy as ever! Ingredients:
16 ounces reduced-fat oreo cookies |
8 ounces fat free cream cheese (not the neufchatel cream cheese though) |
1/2 cup i can't believe it's not butterĀ® spread |
1 cup powdered sugar |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
2 (3 1/2 ounce) packages instant vanilla pudding |
3 cups nonfat milk |
8 ounces cool whip |
4 ounces cool whip lite |
Directions:
1. Crush cookies until they resemble potting soil. Cream the cheese, margarine, sugar, and vanilla together and then set aside. Combine pudding mix and milk, fold in whipped topping. Gently fold cheese and pudding mixtures together. 2. Refrigerate mixture. Serve with cookie crumbs. |
