This is a wonderful little cake you can use with either fruit or ice cream. It's also great by itself. I love it because I always have the ingredients on hand for a fast dessert. Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour |
1 cup sugar |
2 teaspoons baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
2/3 cup milk |
1/3 cup vegetable oil |
1 egg |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
Directions:
1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Add milk, oil, egg and vanilla; beat for 1 minute. Pour into greased 9-in square baking pan. 2. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool on wire rack 3. Serve with fruit or ice cream if desired. |
