Leftover or fresh cooked and mashed potatoes give this bread a soft texture and tangy, almost sourdough taste. The loaf is very good with pot roast or roast beef, meat loaf, grilled sausages, vegetable soups and chowders. Ingredients:
1 1/2 teaspoons yeast |
3 cups bread flour |
3 tablespoons wheat germ |
3 tablespoons powdered milk |
1 1/2 tablespoons sugar |
1 1/2 teaspoons dill seeds |
2 teaspoons salt |
1 1/2 tablespoons vegetable oil |
3/4 cup mashed potatoes |
1 egg |
1 egg yolk |
1 cup water |
2 tablespoons water |
Directions:
1. Add all ingredients in the order suggested by your bread machine manual and process on the basic bread cycle according to the manufacturer;s directions. |
