This recipe goes with Blini with Smoked Salmon and Dilled Onion Compote Ingredients:
2 cups chopped red onion |
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice |
1/4 cup water |
2 tablespoons sugar |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/3 cup low-fat sour cream |
3 tablespoons minced fresh dill |
Directions:
1. Combine first 5 ingredients in a zip-top heavy-duty plastic bag, and seal; shake to coat. Marinate in refrigerator 8 hours, turning bag occasionally. 2. Drain onion, and rinse under cold water; drain well. Combine onion, sour cream, and dill in a bowl, and stir well. Store in an airtight container in refrigerator up to 3 days. |
