Acquired this recipe from my good friend Diane, while still green in the kitchen. This is so easy to prepare, that whenever it was on the menu her son was Head Chef . He had the browning down to perfection (almost Greg). Can be stretched to accommodate from 4 to 8 diners. Great with mashed potatoes.
Ingredients:
1 lb hamburger
1 medium onion
1 cup oatmeal
1 tablespoon dried parsley
salt and pepper
1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
1 egg
1/2 cup milk
1 dash dry mustard
1/2 teaspoon vegetable oil
3 tablespoons flour
1/4 teaspoon paprika
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients except flour and paprika.
2. Shape into 1 1/2 - 2 balls.
3. Heat oil in skillet and add meatballs.
4. Brown meatballs on all sides, remove from pan and set aside.
5. Add flour to drippings and brown to your liking, add enough water to make gravy of desired consistency.
6. Add meatballs to gravy and simmer until done.
7. Sprinkle with paprika.
