Learnt from my grann . She makes this whenever we crave for a munch , esp late noons . So far never tried the spicy version but love this sweet version . Ingredients:
2 c more or less all purpose flour , pinch of baking pwd and salt |
3 large eggs |
powdered sugar |
icing sugar ( optional ) |
Directions:
1. Beat the eggs and add the sugar bit by bit until almost it becomes quite sweet . 2. Now add the flour bit by bit until it becomes a ball of non sticky dough . 3. Roll into lemoon size balls . 4. With the rolling pin , them into very thin & large discs . 5. Draw number of zig zag parallel cuts with a knife and make diamond shaped pieces. 6. Deep fry in oil and drain . 7. Serve ( optional - dusted with icing sugar ) or pack in an air toght container |
