Arhar dhal, masoor dhal
Ingredients:
1 cup lentils
2 tbsp olive oil
1/4 tsp. cumin seeds
1/4 tsp. mustard seeds
1 onion
1 tomato
Directions:
1. Heat 1 tsp. oil.
2. Stir fry onions. When they are golden brown, add chopped tomatoes.
3. Cook until tomatoes are pureed.
4. Add cooked lentils.
5. Heat 1 tsp. oil in a separate vessel(butter dish). Keep the heat on low.
6. Add mustard seeds - cover they will pop - once they are popping add the cumin seeds.
7. Add tumeric powder to mustard and cumin seeds.
8. Add to the lentils
