3 cups sugar |
3/4 cups light corn syrup |
pinch salt |
3 egg whites, stiffly beaten |
1 cup chopped pecans |
3/4 tea vanilla 1 |
1 cup boiling water |
Directions:
1. bring sugar, water,syrup, and salt to a boil, boil 15 minutes. pour mixture over stiffly beaten egg whites. beat until it starts to thicken. add vanilla and pecans.
2. beat until thick enough to drop a small amount at a timeon wax paper. cool. yields about 36 pieces
