This cake is fit for a Devil! With it's rich chocolate taste, it can make anyone feel a little devilish! Ingredients:
2 cups all purpose flower |
2 cups sugar |
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder |
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda |
1 1/2 cups milk |
1/2 cup shortening |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
2 eggs |
Directions:
1. In a bowl combine flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and 1/4 teaspoon salt. 2. Add milk, shortening, and vanilla. 3. beat with electric mixer on high speed for 2 minutes 4. Add eggs and beat two minutes more. 5. Pour into 2 greased and floured 9x1 1/2-inch round baking pans 6. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 30-35 minutes.[or till toothpick comes out clean] 7. Cool on racks for atleast 10 minutes. 8. NOTE:You can use sour cream in this cake by reducing milk to 1 1/4 cups and add 1/2 cup of sour cream with the milk. |
