These are a great side dish. Jazz them up any way you'd like by adding herbs or cheese of your liking. Ingredients:
4 cloves garlic, smashed |
1 tablespoon dijon mustard or yellow if you prefer |
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard powder |
salt and pepper to taste |
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil |
4 small tomatoes, halved |
Directions:
1. In a bowl, combine garlic, mustard and mustard powder. 2. Add salt and pepper to taste. 3. Add oil, drop by drop, whisking until smooth. 4. Place tomatoes in a buttered baking dish. 5. Spread mustard mixture over each tomato half. 6. Broil about 3-inches from the heat for 2 minutes, or until tops are bubbly and golden. |
