This is my MIL's recipe for deviled eggs. Isn't it funny how we all make different recipes for one recipe. Anyway, this is how her mother taught her to make them and she taught me. I like them, the vinegar makes these very good. Ingredients:
6 hard-boiled eggs, split in half lengthwise and yolks removed |
1 teaspoon vinegar |
1 teaspoon instant minced onion, soaked in water |
1 1/2 teaspoons mustard |
1/2-1 teaspoon sugar |
parsley, to add color |
paprika, to add color |
3 teaspoons miracle whip |
lawry's seasoned salt, to taste |
pepper, to taste |
Directions:
1. Mash egg yolks with a fork. 2. Add remaining ingredients and blend. 3. Fill egg whites and sprinkle with more parsley and paprika. |
