Ingredients:
1/2 cup shortening |
1 cup sugar |
1 egg |
2 cups all-purpose flour |
1/2 cup cocoa |
1 1/4 teaspoons baking soda |
1/2 teaspoon baking powder |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1 cup milk |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
marshmallow creme filling |
Directions:
1. Cream shortening in a large mixing bowl; gradually add sugar, beating well. Add egg, beating well. 2. Combine flour, cocoa, soda, baking powder, and salt; mix well. Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour mixture; stir well. Stir in vanilla. 3. Drop mixture by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 375° for 8 minutes. Remove from cookie sheets, and cool completely on wire racks. Spread half of cookies with filling; top with remaining cookies. |
