This is especially good served over gingerbread. Ingredients:
1/3 cup sugar |
1 tablespoon cornstarch |
2/3 cup water |
2 tablespoons butter |
2 tablespoons orange juice |
1 tablespoon orange peel, grated |
2 teaspoons lemon juice |
Directions:
1. In 1 quart saucepan, combine sugar and cornstarch. Gradually stir in water until smooth. Cook over medium heat, stirring often until boiling. 2. Boil 1 minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. 3. Stir in butter, juice, and peel until butter is melted. Serve warm. |
