Basic fried chicken with an oriental flair. This is from the Nu'uanu Congregational Church's 1985 Centennial Cookbook. Ingredients:
3 1/2 lbs chicken, cut into pieces |
4 tablespoons flour |
4 teaspoons cornstarch |
4 teaspoons mochiko sweet rice flour |
4 teaspoons salt |
4 teaspoons soy sauce |
4 teaspoons sugar |
2 eggs |
1/4 teaspoon baking soda |
Directions:
1. Wash chicken and dry pieces with paper towel. 2. Mix all other ingredients and pour over chicken. Place in covered container and marinate in refrigerator overnight. 3. Deep fry. |
