Deluxe Green Tea (Matcha) Hot Chocolate: a Vegan Delight!  |

                    Yes, it's the middle of the summer and here I am thinking of hot drinks.  LOL oh me.  I whipped this up to use up some soymilk I had- feel free to use storebought vanilla or chocolate vegan milk, such as rice milk would be perfect considering the drink's contents.  I love the ease and versatility of matcha powder.  Feel free to up it to 2 packets of matcha if you have strong tastebuds like mine.  Ingredients: 
                    
                        
                                                1 cup vanilla soymilk (or plain with 1/2 tsp vanilla & sweetened to your liking)  |  
                                                5 g matcha green tea powder (1 packet)  |  
                                                1 teaspoon cocoa powder  |  
                                                1/4 teaspoon ground ginger  |  
                                                
                     
                    Directions: 
                    
                        
                            
                                1. Whisk the ingredients together and heat gently on the stovetop. Because of matcha's splattery properties, I would not recommend making this in a microwave. Garnish with whipped cream and a little shortbread or biscuit!                              |
