I wanted an overnight oatmeal recipe that included apples. I came across this one and really enjoyed it. I leave out the nuts for the sake of the kids. Ingredients:
1 cup quick-cooking oats |
2 cups milk |
1/4 cup brown sugar |
1 tablespoon butter, melted |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon |
1 cup finely chopped apple |
1/2 cup raisins, and or 1/2 cup dates |
1/2 cup chopped walnuts or 1/2 cup almonds |
Directions:
1. Grease the inside of Crockpot. Throw all ingredients inside Crockpot and mix well. Cover and cook on low for 8 to 9 hours. Stir before serving. 2. Great served with milk. |
