This is a quick and easy chocolate mocha pie....A delightful dessert.. Ingredients:
i graham cracker pie crust (9 inch) |
1 6 ounce package semi sweet chocolate chips |
1 package cream cheese, softened (8 oz) |
1/3 cup brown sugar, packed |
1 tablespoon powdered instant coffee |
1/8 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
2 eggs, seperated |
1/4 cup brown sugar, packed |
2 cups whipped cream |
Directions:
1. Heat chocolate until melted; cool 10 minutes. 2. Beat cheese, 1/3 cup brown sugar, the coffee, salt and vanilla on 3. low speed until smooth. 4. Add egg yolks and chocolate. 5. Beat on high speed until smooth. 6. Beat egg whites on high speed until soft peaks form. 7. Beat in 1/4 cup brown sugar until stiff peaks form. 8. Fold egg whites into chocolate mixture. 9. Reserve 1/2 cup of the whipped cream; fold remaining whipped cream into chocolate mixture. 10. Pour into graham cracker crust. 11. Mound remaining whipped cream on pie. 12. Garnish with grated chocolate if desired. 13. Cover and freeze at least 8 hours. 14. Remove from freezer 20 minutes before serving. |
