I love dates and these are wonderful. My family makes them around the holidays but they would be great anytime. Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter |
1 egg |
1 (18 1/2 ounce) box yellow cake mix |
1/2 cup chopped pecans |
1/2 cup chopped dates |
8 ounces softened cream cheese |
16 ounces powdered sugar |
2 eggs |
Directions:
1. Mix butter, 1 egg and cake mix and press into bottom of 9 x 13 buttered pan.
2. Scatter over cake mixture 1/2 cup chopped pecans and dates.
3. Mix cream cheese with powdered sugar and 2 eggs.
4. Blend well and pour over cake.
5. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes.
