This is a very quick and simple recipe to make, but it's sooooooo good! Ingredients:
1/2 lb salt pork, diced |
1/2 cup chopped celery |
1 cup chopped onion |
1 cup cooked potato, diced |
2 teaspoons salt |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
1 bay leaf |
2 cups dried split peas |
Directions:
1. Bring all ingredients to a boil, except potatoes. 2. On med heat, cover and simmer until peas are tender approx 15 minutes. Add potatoes. Cook another 5 minutes. 3. Ready to serve. |
