From Bon Appetit, a creamy mustard based soup made either with chicken or vegetable stock. Easy and yet company fare Ingredients:
4 tbs butter |
1/2 cup fkour |
4 cups chicken or vegetable stock |
3 tbs dijon mustard |
1/8 tsp tumeric |
1 cup light cream or half andf half |
salt and white pepper totaste |
Directions:
1. Melt butter in saucepan. 2. Add flour, whisk and stir till combined. 3. Slowly add and whisk in the stock to make a smooth soup. 4. Stir in the mustard, 1 Tbs at a time. 5. Add the tumeric and the cream. 6. Simmer for 5 minutes, season with salt and ppper |
