Delicious Lentils and Brown Rice |

Vegan comfort food from Betty Crocker (of all places.) Of course, I adjusted it a tiny bit. Ingredients:
2 tablespoons olive oil |
1 small onion, chopped (1/4 cup) |
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped |
1/2 cup dried lentils |
1/2 cup brown rice, uncooked |
14 ounces vegetable broth |
1/4 cup water |
1/2 teaspoon red pepper sauce |
1 teaspoon braggs liquid aminos |
Directions:
1. Sautee onion and garlic in oil. 2. Add lentils, rice, broth, water, and pepper sauce. 3. Heat to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer about 50 minutes, adding water if necessary, until rice is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed. |
