This is a great moist coffee cake. It doesn't last long. Ingredients:
1/2 cup shortening |
1 cup sugar |
2 eggs |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
2 cups all-purpose flour |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon baking soda |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 cup sour cream |
2 cups apples, chopped |
1/2 cup brown sugar |
2 tablespoons butter |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/2 cup nuts, chopped |
Directions:
1. Cream shortening and sugar. 2. Add eggs and vanilla. 3. Combine dry ingredients. 4. Add dry ingredients to mixture with sour cream. 5. Fold in apples. 6. Spread into a 9x13 pan. 7. Mix topping ingredients together and spread over the coffee cake. 8. Bake at 350ºF. for 35 to 40 minutes. |
