Ingredients:
1/2 cup(s) margerine, butter, or olive oil |
1 medium onion diced |
1 cup(s) celery - diced |
1/2 cup(s) flour |
3 cup(s) chicken broth |
1-1/2 cup(s) milk |
salt & pepper to taste |
1/2 teaspoon(s) thyme |
3-5 cup(s) chicken - cooked - diced or shredded |
16 ounce(s) bag frozen peas & carrots |
4 pie crust |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350. Saute onions and celery in butter/oil until tender. stir in flour and seasonings; cook 5 minutes. gradually stir in the chicken broth; milk. continue to stir until mixture thickens. stir in chicken, peas, and carrots; mix well. pour into bottom pie crust. cover filling with top crust; seal edges. prick top with fork. bake 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until crust is golden. makes 2 pies. |
