Delicious Chicken Bake With Potato Crust |

I have this old worn out cookbok that I use on a regular basis... This recipe is from this book and is one of my families favorites!! Ingredients:
3 cups mashed hot potato |
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese |
2.8 oz french fried onions |
1 1/2 cups cubed cooked chicken |
1 pkge.(10oz) frozen veggies ( any you really want-i use mixed veggies) |
1 can condensed cream of chicken soup |
1/4 cup milk |
1/2 tsp ground mustard |
1/4 tsp garlic powder |
salt and pepper to taste |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375 2. In a medium bowl combine mashed potatoes, 1/2 cup cheese and 1/2 the can of the french fried onions; mix well 3. Spoon potato mixture into a greased casserole dish. Spread up sides to make a nice potato shell. ( do not use a long casserole dish) 4. In a large bowl, combine chicken, mixed veggies, soup, milk and spices 5. pour into the shell 6. bake uncovered, at 375 for 30 minutes... until nice and bubbly 7. top with remaining cheese and french fried onions 8. bake, uncovered for 3 or so minutes until nice and brown |
