Easy to make and delicious. I frost it with a chocolate icing. Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter |
1 1/2 cups sugar |
2 eggs, slightly beaten |
1 cup mashed ripe banana |
1 teaspoon vanilla or 1 teaspoon lemon extract |
2 cups cake flour |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/2 cup sour cream |
Directions:
1. Cream butter until light and fluffy. 2. Beat sugar in gradually. 3. Add eggs and beat thoroughly. 4. Add bananas and vanilla. 5. Sift dry ingredients. 6. Add flour mixture to the butter mixture alternately with the sour cream. 7. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes in 2 eight inch layer pans. |
