The banana bread my mom used to make me when my brothers and I were kids. Ingredients:
1 cup sugar |
1/2 cup honey |
1/2 cup butter, softened |
2 eggs, beaten |
3 -4 overripe bananas, mashed |
2 cups flour |
1/2 teaspoon baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon baking soda |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
1 cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. 2. Cream together butter, sugar, and honey. 3. Add beaten eggs, and mashed bananas, combine well. 4. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking bowder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and vanilla. 5. Add to creamed mixture. 6. Add chocolate chips, mix well. 7. Pour batter onto a greased or floured loaf pan, or muffin tins. 8. Bake for 1 hour, if baking loaf. 9. Bake for 30 to 45 minutes, if baking muffins. 10. Check the middle of loaf or muffins with toothpick to make sure they are done. |
