Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups cornmeal |
1/2 cup all-purpose flour |
1 tablespoon baking powder |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 1/2 cups milk |
1/4 cup vegetable oil |
Directions:
1. Combine cornmeal, flour, baking powder, and salt; mix well. Stir in milk just until dry ingredients are moistened. Add oil to batter, stirring well. 2. Heat a well-greased 8-inch cast-iron skillet in a 400° oven for 3 minutes or until very hot. Pour batter into hot skillet. Bake at 425° for 30 minutes or until lightly browned. |
