1 lb ground beef, lean |
1 lb ground turkey breast |
16 oz ricotta cheese |
2 eggs |
7 oz mozzarella |
58 oz tomato sauce |
1 eggplant, medium |
2 bell peppers |
8 oz portabella mushroom caps |
252 grams lasagna noodles, (-i113668) |
Directions:
1. brown the beef and turkey in a skillet and drain 2. add 2 jars of prepared pasta sauce 3. mix raw eggs with ricotta in a bowl 4. cut bell peppers in strips 5. slice eggplant 6. In an 8 quart baking dish, spread a cup of meat sauce 7. layer 2-3 noodles 8. add 1/3 of the ricotta mixture and spread evenly 9. layer slices of eggplant 10. add 4 thin slices of mozzarella 11. cover with a cup or more of sauce 12. layer noodles 13. ricotta 14. bell pepper strips 15. mozzarella 16. sauce 17. noodles 18. ricotta 19. mushrooms...and insert pieces of eggplant if desired 20. mozzarella 21. sauce 22. noodles 23. sauce 24. mozzarella 25. bake covered 1 hour 45 minutes at 375 26. uncover for 15 minutes 27. Let stand for at least 15 minutes before serving |
