A nice decorating icing for holiday cookies Ingredients:
1 egg white |
3 cups powdered sugar |
2 - 3 tbsp. water |
food coloring (optional) |
Directions:
1. Beat egg white until frothy using whisk. Gradually add 3 cups of powdered sugar, mixing until very thick and smooth. Add water to thin and get desired consistency. 2. Divide icing into small bowls. Add food coloring, one drop at a time until you get the color you want. If necessary, add more water by teaspoonfuls, mixing well after each addition, until desired consistency is reached. 3. *1 Tbsp. meringue powder can be substituted for egg white. Add to the powdered sugar and use additional 2 Tbsp. of warm water. |
