This recipe goes with Petits Fours Ingredients:
3 egg whites |
1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar |
4 1/2 cups sifted powdered sugar |
Directions:
1. Combine egg whites (at room temperature) and cream of tartar in a large mixing bowl. Beat at medium speed of electric mixer until frothy. Gradually add sugar; beat well. Beat 5 to 7 minutes or until frosting is stiff. 2. Note: Paste food coloring may be added to tint frosting to desired shades. Frosting dries quickly; keep container covered with a damp towel. |
