Translated from the original Hebrew, I found this recipe on the Mako food site. It can also be made not for Passover using 100 grams of breadcrumbs instead of the ground nuts. It is easy and truly decadent-my chocaholic family gave it 5 stars! Also great a la mode... Ingredients:
350 g dark chocolate |
200 g butter |
5 eggs |
150 g dark brown sugar |
150 g light brown sugar |
100 g ground nuts |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 170 degrees Celsius. Prepare the 24 cm round cake pan by greasing it, then laying in wax paper, then greasing the wax paper (yes, this is all necessary!). 2. In a double boiler, melt chocolate and butter together and mix until consistent and creamy. Remove from heat. 3. Whip the eggs and both sugars for about 5 minutes until it doubles in volume. Gently fold in the melted chocolate mixture, then the nuts. 4. Bake 40-50 minutes until the top is steady but the inside is still not. |
