Debbies Easy Cherry Cobbler |

This is one of my favorite desserts. Ingredients:
2 (20 ounce) cans cherry pie filling |
1 (15 ounce) can pitted dark sweet cherries in heavy syrup, drained |
2 tablespoons plain flour |
1/2 teaspoon almond extract |
1 prepared pie crust |
1 egg wash |
2 tablespoons sugar |
Directions:
1. Stir together pie filling, cherries, and 2 tablespoons flour. 2. Stir in almond extract. 3. Place in a lightly greased 8-inch-square baking dish. 4. Place pie crust on top. Brush with egg wash. Sprinkle with sugar. 5. Place on cookie sheet. Bake at 350° for 35 to 45 minutes or until golden and bubbly. |
