Definitely not diet food. 9 inch unbaked crust, light corn syrup brown sugar eggs salt butter, vanilla pecans cvt Ingredients:
1 single crust, 9 inch, unbaked |
1 cup light corn syrup |
220 g (1 cup packed) brown sugar |
3 eggs |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/3 cup butter, melted |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1 cup pecans |
Directions:
1. Beat the eggs. Add the remaining ingredients, in the order given; work in the nuts. Pour into a 9 inch unbaked pie shell. Bake at 350° for 40-45 minutes. 2. Note: The original recipe stated that the pie should be baked 45-50 minutes in a preheated 350 degree gas oven. If an electric oven is used, it may be necessary to add 15-20 minutes to the baking time. (Begin testing the pie with a toothpick after 45 minutes.) 3. A reviewer's tip: Tap the top and if it springs back it is done - and will set up as it cools. |
