This is my sister Deana's recipe. It's yummy!! Ingredients:
1 1/4 cups milk |
1/2 cup sugar |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 cup butter |
1 (1/4 ounce) package dry yeast |
1/4 cup warm water |
3 eggs, beaten |
5 1/2 cups flour |
butter |
sugar |
1/2 cup cinnamon |
raisins (optional) |
nuts (optional) |
2 cups powdered sugar |
3 tablespoons milk |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
3 teaspoons water |
Directions:
1. Scald Milk, add next 3 ingredients. 2. In a different bowl, add yeast, water, and eggs. Combine mixtures and add flour. Set in warm place for 3 hours. Take fork and poke hole in dough; cover. Put in fridge over night. 3. Roll dough on floured table. Rub with butter and and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Roll into a log. Use fine thread or plain floss and cut into 1 inch pieces. Put in greased pan with sides. If there are no sides, the rolls will fall over the sides and make a mess in your oven, and it's not fun to clean up. Let stand or rise for 2 hours. Bake at 300 degrees until light brown. 4. Remove from oven and drizzle topping over rolls, while still warm. Yummy, yummy! |
