This recipe was on the box of Jello vanilla pudding mix when I was a child (1960s and 70s). Ingredients:
3/4 cup crushed graham cracker |
1 tablespoon sugar |
2 tablespoons melted butter |
1 (4 3/4 ounce) package vanilla flavor pudding and pie filling (not instant) |
3/4 cup sugar |
1 1/2 cups milk |
2 lbs cream cheese |
4 eggs |
1 tablespoon lemon juice |
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
Directions:
1. Mix graham cracker crumbs, 1 T sugar, and butter. Sprinkle on sides and bottom of greased 10-inch springform pan. 2. Cook and stir pudding mix, remaining sugar, and milk to full boil. Cover pudding surface. 3. Beat cream cheese; beat in egg yolks, lemon juice, vanilla, salt, and pudding mixture. Beat egg whites to peaks; fold inches. 4. Pour in pan. Bake at 450F for 30 minutes, until set in center. Cool. |
