Submitted to the Cafe Cookie Book by ataralas, from the Dayton Art Museum Cookbook. Ingredients:
1 cup butter, softened |
1 cup vegetable oil |
1 cup granulated sugar |
1 cup confectioners' sugar |
2 eggs |
4 1/4 cups flour |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon cream of tartar |
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla |
Directions:
1. Cream butter, oil, and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla. 2. Whisk together dry ingredients. Add to wet ingredients and mix just until fully combined. Form into a disc, wrap tightly in plastic and refrigerate overnight. 3. Roll cookies out to about 1/4 thick. Cut into desired shapes. Bake on ungreased cookie sheets at 350 F for 10-12 minutes. |
