Dayton Art Museum Sugar Cookies

Ingredients:
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup vegetable oil
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup confectioners' sugar
2 eggs
4 1/4 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
Directions:
1. Cream butter, oil, and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla.
2. Whisk together dry ingredients. Add to wet ingredients and mix just until fully combined. Form into a disc, wrap tightly in plastic and refrigerate overnight.
3. Roll cookies out to about 1/4 thick. Cut into desired shapes. Bake on ungreased cookie sheets at 350 F for 10-12 minutes.
