Found online whilst searching for a black walnut recipe. Ingredients:
1 cup granulated sugar |
1 cup brown sugar |
1 cup shortening (crisco) |
3 eggs |
2 cups flour |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
2 cups quick oatmeal |
1 1/2 teaspoons black walnut extract |
1 cup nuts, chopped |
1 cup chocolate chips |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. 2. Sift dry ingredients together. 3. Cream sugars, shortening and eggs. 4. Add sifted dry ingredients. 5. Stir in remaining ingredients. 6. Spread evenly on ungreased cookie sheet or jelly roll pan and bake for 20 to 25 minutes. 7. Cut in squares when cool. |
