Dave's 'infamous' Chili Dog Sauce |

Hubby Dave found this recipe heaven only knows where; but wherever it came from, he likes to make it and folks love to eat it on their dogs and burgers. Dave likes it alone-on-a-bun. For good 'ol Dave, then, it's a win-win recipe. Hope it is for you, too! Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef, cook and drained |
1/2 medium green bell pepper, diced |
1/2 medium sweet onion, diced |
1 (16 ounce) can stewed tomatoes, chopped |
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce |
1 teaspoon dry mustard |
1 garlic clove, minced |
1 teaspoon paprika |
4 tablespoons chili powder |
2 green onions, diced |
salt and pepper |
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients in a large pot.
2. Simmer on low for 20-30 minutes.
3. Once cooked, use food processor to puree the sauce to your desired consistency.
