turn a cakemix into a gourmet rich dessert with pecans,toffee bits,and creamcheese-buttercream topperPeople will think you took hours to make this. Ingredients:
1 box yellow cake mix |
vegetable oil |
eggs |
water |
almond extract |
chopped pecans |
1 pk. toffee chips |
8oz.cream cheese softened |
1 stick unsalted butter softened |
1 tsp.pure vanilla extract |
about 4 cups of confectioner.s sugar |
4 ounces chopped pecans |
Directions:
1. follow the directions on the box of the cake mix
2. add 1&1/2 tsps. almond extract
3. blend together
4. mix in 1 package of toffee chips
5. mix in 8oz. chopped pecans (by hand gently)
6. Bake according to cake mix instructions on the box
7. Cool completely
8. FROSTING:
9. Cream the butter and cream cheese together well
10. Add in the vanilla extract
11. Slowly add the confectioner's sugar till creamy but not too loose
12. Completely ice the cooled cake
13. Top with chopped pecans
14. NOTE:Because of the perishable items in icing,REFRIGERATE
